Eleven Academy seniors have been named National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (NISCA) Academic All America.
Eleven Academy seniors have been named National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (NISCA) Academic All America: Andrew Algermissen, Sydney Cooper, Lexi Davis, Joe DelGrande, Megan Dunlap, Taryn Gutierrez, Meredith Harrington, Quinn Hollerbach, Albert Lee, Rica Maestas, and Zachery Mufti.
The state record-setting Girls Medley Relay team comprising Anika Apostalon '13, Eileen Kawamoto '13, Lexi Davis '12, and Gillian St. John '15 has been accorded All America honors.
Freshman freestyler Gillian St. John made the All America team in two individual events — the 50 and 100 freestyle.
Junior Anika Apostalon made the All America team in three individual events — the 50 and 100 freestyle and the 100 backstroke. She also becomes the first NM high school swimmer (boy or girl) to win four events while breaking four state records. |
