The Math Department at Albuquerque Academy seeks a passionate and energetic middle and high school math teacher. We are looking for someone who is patient and engaging, and inspires a love of math in students, works well with colleagues, and enjoys thinking about the art of teaching math. Faculty positions in the Math Department require a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, and teaching experience is strongly preferred. Familiarity with Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, and Precalculus curricula is required. Familiarity with Calculus is preferred. The Albuquerque Academy Math Department offers courses from Math 6 to Multivariable Calculus.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Peterson Learning Support Program at Albuquerque Academy seeks an energetic, caring, and experienced educator for the position of Learning Specialist in the 8-9 Division. The 8-9 Learning Specialist will join a team of two other school learning specialists, one each in the 6-7 Division and 10-12 Division. As a team, the three Learning Specialists provide support to students, teachers, and parents based on the unique educational and developmental needs of their division. Outside the classroom, our educators work with students in ways that foster their growth and development into effective community members. Learning specialists primarily support students diagnosed with specific learning challenges such as Specific Learning Disabilities, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Learning specialists also provide support to the general student population for emerging and transient learning challenges, as well as study and organizational needs. The individual chosen for this position will work closely and collaboratively with the 8-9 teachers, division head, dean of students, and division counselor, as well as the Division Student Support Team (division head, deans, counselors, and nurse).

The Albuquerque Academy College Guidance Office is seeking an individual for the position of College Advisor (title commensurate with experience). Reporting to the Dean of College Guidance, the new College Adviser must have excellent counseling, listening, organizational, and writing skills and have familiarity with the college application process—including college list construction, essay review, interview preparation, curricular and standardized testing advising, and general admission strategy.
Our diverse student body is open to exploring different colleges, with each class enrolling in 80 to 100 different colleges around the US and the world. Our College Guidance program is by necessity innovative, flexible, and ever-evolving. The Albuquerque Academy Athletics Department is seeking an individual for the position of Volleyball Head Coach. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the Varsity Volleyball Program. Under the direction of the Athletic Director, the Volleyball Head Coach assists with the development, organization, and implementation of a high-quality Volleyball program and follows the New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA) rules and regulations. The Volleyball Head Coach manages all practice and game preparation and logistics, and is responsible for maintaining a high level of communication with fellow coaches, team members, parents, officials, and administration.
