    What is of particular interest in the Crito is how Socrates turns his socratic method against his own apparent self-interest and argues against escaping the “unjust” punishment imposed by his fellow Athenians. We will discuss the value of using the socratic method for examining ourselves, i.e., what is truly in our self-interest.
