Anaïs was born and raised in Albuquerque and has also lived in the Boston area. While earning her undergraduate degree at UNM, she spent a semester in Spain, where she learned Spanish and had the wonderful experiences of making friends and dreaming in another language. If she could stay a student forever, she probably would. Anaïs especially loves studying religion, art, history, language, and literature. She has taught in both secondary school and college settings. She hopes that students leave her classes with a sense of how complicated the world is and that there is a place for them in it. In her free time she likes to read fiction, practice yoga, paddle board, go on long walks, share food with friends, and listen to podcasts about science and random facts.
