
AnaMaria Perez ’20 has won first place in the mathematics category at the International Science and Engineering Fair in Phoenix. Her work, Classifying Magic Squares and Their Associated Symmetries Using a Chord Diagram Approach, earned the best-in-category achievement for mathematics.
This is the third time AnaMaria has been selected to present her mathematical research at the international science fair. She also mentors younger science fair students and will attend MIT’s Research Scientific Institute this summer.
