New students and a parent or guardian are expected to attend the New Student Orientation on Sunday, August 11, 12:30-1:30 p.m. Please check in under the main arches on the East Campus Quad (there will be signs and people to help you find your way.) After check-in, students will attend orientation, and parents will meet in the Music Building Performance Hall.
Students: Please bring your schedule, your laptop, and a recent photo of yourself that we can keep.
Students must be completely clothed from their underarms to at least a surrounding two-inch inseam (no buttock or mid-section exposed).
- All shirts must have straps.
- No clothing will be translucent from the underarms to the two-inch inseam.
- Footwear must be worn throughout the day.
- Hats may be worn outdoors only.
- No clothing will depict ideology contrary to Academy philosophies and policies, whether stated or implied.
Students not following the dress code will have to change clothes immediately. When being dress coded by a faculty member, the student may be directed to division head and dean of students to comply with dress code. Parents may be called to bring appropriate items to school. Additional violations or arguing with a faculty member while being dress coded will result in disciplinary action.
Our annual celebration of GrandDays will be held Friday, October 4, 2019 (Grades 6-7) and Monday, October 7, 2019 (Grades 8-12).
GrandDays are one of the highlights of fall at Albuquerque Academy. We look forward to hosting grandparents and grand friends during the school day, providing class visits and lunch, and sharing stories about the Academy experience.

If you ordered a laptop through the Academy, you will receive an email when it arrives.
School supply lists are not issued for 10th-12th graders; your individual teachers will give you detailed information if they expect you to have specific items.
You should receive an email with a link and instructions on how to access your schedule. Note: Student schedules will not be released if required medical forms have not been returned or there is an overdue balance on your family’s account. If you wish to make a schedule change, we will be completing those on August 13 and 14, 2:30-4:30 p.m. You will start by getting a form from the bulletin board to the left of Ms. Eckhardt’s office (B428) and should then follow its instructions regarding required signatures.
School photos for grades 8-12 will be taken on Wednesday, September 4 and Thursday, September 5.
Seniors, please plan to have school photos taken, even if you are having senior portraits taken. The school needs these photos throughout the year for various purposes. Thank you!
