“Fish Out of Water: A Swampera” follows the story of a young mermaid who gets separated from her sisters and lives in a yucky swamp with a frog, a mosquito, and a fly. One day a Starbucks cup floats into the swamp. Believing it’s a clue to finding her sisters, she sets off on a journey involving a distracted truck driver, slow baristas, and a maniacal mis-modifier of mythical creatures. This project was conceived, written, produced, designed, composed, and performed by students.
