Vicki Been, Deputy Mayor for Housing and Economic Development for New York City, is focused on the intersection of land use, urban policy, and housing. In her three years as Commissioner of Housing Preservation and Development for the City of New York, she developed a strategy for addressing needs for affordable housing. She has served at the director of the Furman Center for Real Estate and Urban Policy and been on the faculty at NYU since 1990. Born in a small town in neighboring Colorado, she is a graduate of Colorado State University and NYU School of Law.
Richard Revesz, a professor at New York University School of Law, is one of the nation’s leading voices in environmental and regulatory law and policy. Twice he has received the American Bar Association’s award for the best article or book on administrative law and regulatory practice. He is a co-founder of the Institute for Policy Integrity at NYU and is director of the American Law Institute. Revesz has degrees from Princeton University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Yale Law School and clerked with Justice Thurgood Marshall of the U.S. Supreme Court.
