Malcolm Hall, elder son of retired Academy faculty member Kevin Hall and his wife Anne Hall, passed away on August 20, 2021. Malcolm was born and raised in Albuquerque. He attended the Academy from grades six through nine, when his mental illness interrupted his education. A gifted writer, for the next several years he lived with his family and composed imaginative literature, ultimately publishing two novels, a collection of poetry, and a collection of aphorisms. He then set out on his own, continuing to write and doing volunteer work for local churches. The world has lost a gentle, sensitive, and imaginative young man. We who knew him will miss him terribly.
A memorial service will be held at a future date. In the meantime, you may, if you wish, contribute in his memory to NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
