Alumni travel and move around the world: to Manhattan to open a jazz club, to Egypt to study Arabic, and to the White House to work on Barack Obama's security detail. They build apps for Apple and design for Pixar in California, work toward global food security in Africa, and write for The Economist in Europe.
They also return to Albuquerque to build the city where they grew up by teaching at the Academy and in public schools, starting their own businesses, starring in indie films, practicing law and medicine, and working for community nonprofits.
As one faculty member said, "It seems that our students go out and do whatever it is they want to do in life." And that's exactly what we want for our students. To live rewarding lives, whatever that means for them. To feel proud of their accomplishments and their efforts to make the world a more humane, exquisite place.
