• Albuquerque Academy Annual Fund
The Academy, like all independent schools, depends upon the generosity of our community to advance the mission of the school. There are many ways alumni, parents, grandparents, parents of alumni, faculty and staff, and friends can help carry out that mission of educating students of talent and character in New Mexico, this year and every year. Because tuition and endowment income do not meet the full cost of an Academy education, your gift ensures the school has what it needs to thrive.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE | The Academy has one of the largest financial assistance budgets among all independent schools in the country. In addition to subsidizing every student’s tuition, we grant about 25 percent of students additional need-based financial assistance. With your support, the Academy will remain committed to providing access to students of talent and character, regardless of ability to pay.
Albuquerque Academy Annual Fund 2017
Throughout the year we ask you to consider making a contribution to the Annual Fund. One-hundred percent of your donation immediately supports the school by fueling opportunity for our students by helping us hire and keep the best teachers, purchase materials, cover transportation to competitions, and so much more.

Chargers Giving
Back Day

May 12, 2017
Chargers Giving Back Day in May is truly a community event—students, parents, faculty and staff, alumni, and friends—all come together to show what Chargers can do. We present a one-day challenge gift opportunity in celebration of the Wyoming Campus groundbreaking and a chance for alums in Albuquerque and around the country to work on service projects in their communities displaying how Chargers give back.
Horvath Challenge

Chargers Challenged!
Academy Alum, Paul Horvath ’85 and his wife, Cecilie Rohwedder, have issued a challenge to boost Albuquerque Academy’s alumni participation in the Annual Fund. The goal is to raise the alumni participation rate — a strong marker for the school’s strength and one that helps support larger gifts to the school — from 6% to 10% or more!

Here’s the challenge:
If alums raise giving participation to 10%, Paul and Cecilie will donate $20,000 to the Academy. For every percentage above 10%, they will give an additional $4,000 for a maximum gift of $40,000 — and a participation rate of 15% participation.
All gifts made by alums this fiscal year (July 1, 2016 – June 30, 2017) count towards the challenge. This includes regular donations, as well as purchasing tickets and sponsorship opportunities for fundraising events such as "An Evening with Daymond John." Click here to learn more about the many ways you can support the Academy.
If you have questions, contact Valery McKeon ’01.
Thanks to Paul and Cecilie for their generosity and commitment to Albuquerque Academy.
