April 5, 2019 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Location: Turner Carroll Gallery, 725 Canyon Road, Santa Fe
Twenty Albuquerque Academy student works were selected by a group of Santa Fe artists, curators, and gallerists to have their works exhibited in Turner Carroll Gallery from March 30 to April 5. Among the works exhibited are several state and national Scholastic gold key and gold medal award-winning artworks.
An additional 40 works by student artists were juried into the online exhibition at turnercarroll.com. Students submitted artworks based upon this quotation:
“When the whole world is silent, even one voice becomes powerful. We realize the importance of our voices only when we are silenced.” –Malala Yousafzai
The Turner Carroll exhibition is an opportunity for students to compete for exposure in an internationally recognized art market, and it also allows them the entrepreneurial experience of selling their artwork to a wide range of contemporary art collectors. All proceeds from sales of the student artworks will be given to the student artists and Albuquerque Academy. Student artwork can be purchased at the gallery reception, online at turnercarroll.com, or by calling (505) 986-9800.
