ReadRecycle

The ReadRecycle Book Sale 2020 is canceled.

UPDATED MARCH 17, 2020: Due to the campus closure, we will not hold the spring sale. Please do not bring additional book donations, even when campus reopens. For questions, please contact Suzanne Lutz.

Book Donations – Canceled

The staff of Simms Library cannot accept book donations, and they do not issue receipts. Please do not leave books anywhere outside the library.

Books may be placed in donation bins in the following locations:

  • 6-7 Administration
  • Library Outer Foyer
  • McKinnon Hall
  • East Campus Administration Building
  • Brown Hall
  • Music Building

Bins are labeled with the ReadRecycle logo!

Tax donation receipts can be provided if you bring your books to the ReadRecycle Room on the second floor of the East Campus Administration Building during sorting sessions, or if you make special arrangements. Please check SignUp.com for ReadRecycle Sorting Event times.

To make arrangements for large donations or for a tax receipt, contact Suzanne Lutz.

Volunteer Opportunities – Canceled

We need volunteers throughout the year during our two sorting events each month. We’ll need lots of adults and students in April when it’s time for the sale.

Note: ReadRecycle’s sorting and storage operations have moved. We are in the Administration Building, upper floor, Room A209b next to the elevator.

The Book Sale, Simms Library – Canceled

Thousands of used books! $1 paperbacks, $2 hardcover; fiction and non-fiction; children’s, young adults, adults.

Albuquerque Community Days

  • April 15: 3:30-6 p.m.
  • April 16: 7:30 a.m.- 6 p.m.
  • April 17: 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Public Sale Days

  • April 18: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • April 19: 1-4 p.m. *All books half price

April 20-23, buy a bag for $5 and fill it with books!
