This coming Thursday Seminar will be the second of two seminars in which we focus on Emily Dickinson and her three writings called the Master Letters. The occasion for these seminars is Marta Werner’s excellent and handsomely published Writing in Time: Emily Dickinson’s Master Hours. It is not necessary for you to have attended the first seminar, nor is it necessary to have read the book, but it would be helpful to read here the poems and passages selected from ED’s letters to Mr. Higginson as well as the poems and ‘Master’ letters in ED’s Master Hours I. Participants are encouraged to share with me or the group any writing that they may do “with Emily on the horizon.”
The seminar will be held outside in front of the library. Masks will not be required. All Thursday seminars begin at 6 p.m. You may attend on Zoom or in person. It is helpful if you would let me know if you plan to join us.
