The UNM College of Fine Arts Department of Music will present the music of National Medal of Arts winner Morten Lauridsen tonight, 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Popejoy Hall. The performance will feature a number of groups, including a High School Festival Choir featuring eight Academy students.
Also performing are the UNM Concert Choir, Las Cantantes, The University Chorus and the newly-formed UNM Chamber Singers. Lauridsen, the most-performed living composer in America, will be in attendance for the concert to help celebrate the debut of the newly launched UNM Chamber Singers and a suite of 16 endowed choral scholarships.
Tickets are $15, $10 and $5 and available at all UNM ticket outlets.
