Performing Arts Students Selected for All-State

This fall, many Albuquerque Academy performing arts students auditioned and were selected for All-State. This year’s All-State Music Festival will take place January 7-10, 2015 at the University of New Mexico.

Selection for All-State is based on a prepared audition piece along with on-the-spot sight-reading. All participants receive a cumulative score, and are then placed in an All-State band, orchestra, or chorus according to their ranking both in high achievement and school size versus the number of participants selected.
