Carlos also received the District 5-4A Player of the Year Award, is named to the 2nd Team 5A All-State, 2nd Team Albuquerque Journal All-City (all classes), North Team for Statewide 5/6A North/South All-Stars, and was a finalist for All-Metro Player of the Year.

Swimming and Diving
The boys and girls team both won District, making this year the eighth consecutive district win.
The team was also featured on the cover of the January/February National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association Journal (read posting on facebook).
At the state meet, records were set by Anthony Kim ’16 in the 100 Yard Butterfly (48:59) and by the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team comprising Anthony Kim, Jason Hou ’15, Raine Min ’15, and Scott Theiler ’15(1:26.51). Read more about the State meet here.
Coach Dave Barney was selected for the National High School Hall of Fame (read the news story) — only the second swim coach in Hall of Fame history to be named.

Wrestling
Varsity team members Andre Rodriguez ’17 (weight class 106), Clay Crosby ’17 (113), Ben Peterson ’15(145), T.J. Kim ’17 (152), and Andrew Wilson ’16 (285) are all district champions. Mitchell Vining ’16, Seth Packer ’15, and Grant Thulin ’15 were all runners-up.
At the State Tournament Ben (weight class 145) and Andrew (285) each placed third, and T.J. (152) placed fifth.
