The College Board recently announced 16 Albuquerque Academy students in the Class of 2018 have been named 2017-18 National Hispanic Recognition Program (NHRP) Scholars.
The College Board’s NHRP identifies academically outstanding Hispanic/Latino high school students.
Each year, about 5,000 Hispanic/Latino students are selected from a pool of over 250,000 who take the Preliminary SAT/NMSQT. These students are from the United States, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, the Mariana Islands, and the Marshall Islands, as well as U.S. citizens attending schools abroad. Approximately 200 of the top-scoring PAA™ students from Puerto Rico are also included.
