Angeline Grine ‘19 and Zach Auster ’20 were recently recognized at the 2018 Global Online Academy Catalyst Conference. The Catalyst Conference is a global, online event for students in the GOA consortium to share projects designed to spark change in their communities. Each presentation is the culmination of a capstone project that asked students to transform learning from their courses into research-based solutions for real-world issues.
Both students received GOA Citations, which are awarded by the Global Online Academy and member school faculty to those presentations that best represent the goals of the conference: raising awareness, promoting grassroots action, and promoting institutional change.
Angelina’s project, Immigration from Mexico to the United States of America, and Zach’s project, The Albuquerque Refugee Center, were selected from a pool of more than 400 presentations.
