The Academy has won its fourth straight mock trial state title — a run of success unprecedented in 40 years of competition in New Mexico.
The Academy Black Team took the state championship by defeating Volcano Vista — a respected rival — in the final round 3-2. Senior Reeya Patel was recognized as an Outstanding Attorney, and Joaquin Sanchez was named Coach of the Year.
