The Albuquerque Academy Model UN team sent 24 members to the three-day State Model UN Conference at the New Mexico Roundhouse in early November, where they picked up several honors:
- Noor Ali ’23 and Sophia Liem ’23 took home the award for Best Delegation, Iraq, in the DISEC committee (UN committee on Disarmament and International Security).
- In the same committee, our delegates from Kazakhstan, Abhishek Narahari ’24 and Kaeli Kampschmidt ’23 received Honorable Mention for Best Delegation.
- In the World Health Organization committee, the Academy also took Best Delegation, Kazakhstan. This delegation was a trio of students: Malena Ryckman ’23, Luke Laskey ’24, and Miles Walker ’25.
