Artwork by nearly two dozen Academy students, including four seventh graders, has been honored by the New Mexico Scholastic Art Competition. This awards program from the New Mexico Art Education Association in conjunction with the national Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is the longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens in the U.S. and the largest source of scholarships for young artists and writers.
More than 185,000 works of art and writing are submitted annually by teens in grades 7-12 nationwide and more than 1,500 receive national awards and are celebrated on stage at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
