Evan’s project involved an algorithm developed by Marsha Falco in 1974 as part of her work as a geneticist. During the many required presentations for the judges and others in attendance, Evan was surprised with an unannounced visit by Ms. Falco who wanted to learn more about his work. She was very impressed with his contributions as were the judges.
When not competing, Evan had the opportunity to attend a variety of symposia, listening to and interacting with presentations by a number of Nobel laureates.
