Five Albuquerque Academy students participated in the 2015 New Mexico District 1 Congressional Art Competition, a nationwide high school visual art competition sponsored by the Congressional Institute.
Students submit their entries to the state representative’s office, and a panel of district artists then select the winning entries. Selected pieces this year are:
Libby Marrs ’16, one of the top three finalists. Her artwork titled “Kaleidoscope” will be displayed for one year in Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham’s Downtown Albuquerque office.
Morgan Donohue ’17 received the judges’ choice award for her piece titled “Solace.”
Holly Liu ’16, “Flowers in the Moonlight” and “Flying Fish”
Eryn Ormesher ’17, “1940s Cosmetics”
Jacob Bergen ’16, “Arroyo”
Congratulations all!
