Stefan Biller will travel to Baltimore, Maryland, in March to compete as a National Finalist in the Music Teachers National Association’s Senior Voice Competition. Stefan earned this opportunity after representing New Mexico in the Southwest Division of the Senior Voice Competition in Hawaii.
Stefan is a member of the Academy’s Bel Canto Choir and has been studying voice for eight years with Jacqueline Zander-Wall. Stefan also was recently accepted into the Bel Canto Institute in Florence, Italy and will be attending this summer.
The Senior Voice Competition will take place on Sunday, March 19 during the MTNA National Conference. The national winner of this competition receives a cash prize and will perform in a Winners Concert during the conference.
The three-tiered MTNA competitions begin at the state level. Winners of each State Competition advance to the division competition. Division winners then proceed to the National Competition Finals.
