David Kistin, who has spent more than a decade spinning technology developed at Sandia National Laboratories into markets, will now direct a new state-funded project that seeks to build a local industry around quantum technology.
Roadrunner Quantum Lab, under Roadrunner Venture Studios, appointed Kistin as its director. For more than a decade, Kistin was a technology and economic development manager at Sandia.
Next week, Roadrunner will cut the ribbon on its 35,000-square-foot lab in Downtown Albuquerque, where founders can test their technology and connect with investors.
At Sandia, Kistin said, “I got a chance to work in a lot of technologies and a lot of different spaces, including quantum.”
