Tuition Assistance
Affording the Academy
Albuquerque Academy provides need-based tuition assistance grants, also known as financial aid, to support students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. The grants bridge the gap between full tuition and what families, using their own financial resources, can afford.
For the 2025-26 academic year, 26% of the student body received $5.3 million in assistance, covering 100% of each recipient’s demonstrated financial need. Some recipients qualified for and received full-tuition awards.
At this time, all available tuition assistance funds have been allocated for the 2026-27 academic year. Candidates who apply after the February regular-admission deadline should not expect to receive any tuition assistance.
Separate Applications
The tuition assistance application is separate from the ChargerHub admission application and checklist. Tuition assistance applications are available on the Clarity portal, and confidentiality is maintained by tuition assistance staff.
The two applications must be submitted and completed by the same deadline; scroll down for dates.
Admission committees do not consider a family’s ability to pay in the child’s admission decision. Grant recipients are selected by a separate committee from among the accepted students who applied by the deadline and met the eligibility criteria for assistance.
Exploring Eligibility
Understanding the application process and eligibility factors can help parents/guardians determine if they should pursue tuition assistance. All parents/guardians interested in applying are advised to attend either a 1:1 consultation or informational webinar presented by the tuition assistance team.

Tuition Assistance Deadlines
The 2026-27 Clarity application opens on September 1 and must be completed by these deadlines. Late applications will not be considered for funding.
- Early Decision: November 14, 2025
- Regular Decision: February 5, 2026
These dates are also the deadlines for the admission application. - Current Students: November 1, 2025
Parents/guardians of students applying for admission will be notified of tuition assistance amounts with the admission decision. Returning students receive grant notifications on January 31 via the ChargerHub Enrollment portal.
Tuition and Payment Options
Tuition for the 2026-27 school year is $30,118. Tuition for the 2026-27 school year will be set in late 2025.
- Payment in Full: Tuition paid in full on or before July 1
- Semi-Annual Payments: Tuition paid in two installments due on July 1 and December 1
- Monthly Payments: Tuition is paid over 10 or 12 monthly payments based on the preference of the family
- Twice-Monthly Payments: Tuition is paid over 10 or 12 months with bi-weekly payments being made, resulting in 20 or 24 payments being made
Albuquerque Academy uses Veracross to manage tuition payments and student billing. Veracross allows payments by credit card or Automatic Clearing House (ACH) from a bank account. No interest is charged for semi-annual, monthly, or twice-monthly tuition payments. Enrollment and transaction fees are charged by Veracross for all payment options.
